"Harper's Bazaar has a long and illustrious history surpassed only by Vogue in its length and breadth. That's not to say Bazaar hasn't had it's own creative lulls over the years. Luckily the highs out number the lows. Highlights being Etré's illustrated covers around the beginning of the 1900s to Alexey Brodovitch's tenure in the 50s – widely regarded as the editorial design maverick of the time to Fabien Baron and Liz Tilberis alliance in the 90s. Really forget about: the 80s and anything after Stephen Gan lost interest in the early 2000s."
